Quality 3D Printing Materials
The METHOD 3D printer uses an exciting range of materials, from PLA to Carbon Fibre to ABS. These materials are manufactured to exact diameter and quality specifications.
METHOD materials are shipped in a sealed metalised bag to preserve the quality right up until you open it. METHOD materials also include the Smart Spool, which features an RFID chip, that provides information on material type, colour and remaining quantity to your printer, and a built in desiccant absorbs any excess moisture.
MATERIALS FOR METHOD
RapidRinse™
TAP WATER SOLUBLE SUPPORT MATERIAL FOR ABS-R
Print dimensionally accurate ABS parts with the ease of PLA. Print your parts with confidence in ABS-R and RapidRinse™, drop your part into tap water, and watch the supports dissolve to nothing in just minutes. AVAILABLE ONLY FOR METHOD X.
ABS-R
REAL PRODUCTION GRADE ABS FOR MANUFACTURING APPLICATIONS
Team with RapidRinse soluble support material to produce superior ABS parts with ease. ABS is one of the most popular materials for injection molded consumer products due to its clean surface finish, durability, and heat resistance. METHOD X can print manufacturing-grade ABS without warping and without weakening additives thanks to its 100°C heated chamber. Download data sheet

PLA
RIGID AND GLOSSY PARTS FOR QUICK AND EASY, OFFICE-FRIENDLY PROTOTYPING
PLA is a great material for early concept models because it is easy to use, office-friendly, and works great with breakaway supports which print faster and can be removed faster than dissolvable supports. PLA is a corn-based plastic and is considered biodegradable under industrial processes.
Colours Available:
Tough
DURABLE, TOUGH PARTS, OFFICE-FRIENDLY PRINTING
Tough is a material that is great for mid-stage prototypes because of its ease of use and office-friendliness. An added benefit over PLA is its durability, pliability, and machinability which makes it perfect for snap fits and assemblies. Download data sheet
PETG
CHEMICAL AND MOISTURE RESISTANCE AND DURABILITY
PETG’s chemical resistance makes it a choice material for liquid containers and bottles, which also makes it great for prototyping those types of products. PETG is also commonly used in research labs that require chemical resistance in functional parts or containers. Download data sheet
Nylon
HIGH ABRASION RESISTANCE FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
Nylon’s ability to withstand high temperatures and it’s durability combine to give it above average abrasion resistance. Thus it is an excellent material for replacement parts in a manufacturing facility or distribution centre Download data sheet
Colours Available:
Nylon Carbon Fiber
PRINT STRONG, HEAT-RESISTANT METAL REPLACEMENT PARTS
Carbon fiber reinforced nylon optimized for high strength to weight ratio, stiffness, and heat resistance making it ideal for structural applications and metal replacements. Download data sheet
Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber
PRINT STRONG, HEAT-RESISTANT METAL REPLACEMENT PARTS
Carbon fibre reinforced nylon optimized for high strength to weight ratio, stiffness, and heat resistance making it ideal for structural applications and metal replacements. Download data sheet
ABS
REAL, PRODUCTION- GRADE ABS FOR MANUFACTURING APPLICATIONS
ABS is one of the most popular materials for injection molded consumer products due to its clean surface finish, durability, and heat resistance. METHOD X can print manufacturing-grade ABS without warping and without weakening additives thanks to its 100°C heated chamber. Download data sheet
Colours Available:
ASA
UV AND MOISTURE RESISTANCE FOR DEMANDING OUTDOOR APPLICATIONS
ASA combines the qualities of ABS with the added benefit of UV resistance and additional moisture resistance making it ideal for equipment exposed to sunlight and rain over long periods of time – such as products for the agriculture, transportation, and power and utility industries. Download data sheet
PC-ABS & PC-ABS Fire Retardent
PRINT DURABLE AND HEAT-RESISTANT PROTOTYPES AND END-USE PARTS
PC-ABS is a strong, engineering-grade material that has both a high heat resistance and high impact resistance. When ABS does not provide a high enough impact resistance, but high heat resistance is still required, PC-ABS is a great alternative, due to the addition of polycarbonate. Download data sheet
